What would beginning therapy look like?
I offer a free first in-person session to help determine if I am the right therapist for your needs. During this consultation, we will talk about your reasons for seeking therapy, your background, and what you are hoping to gain from therapy. We will also talk about your questions and concerns about starting therapy and mutually determine if I am the right therapist for you. If we determine you would be a better fit with another therapist, I provide trusted referrals.
If we decide to work together, the following few sessions are a chance for you to tell me more deeply about your concerns and life so that we can determine core issues to work through together. In these sessions we will also focus on how therapy is feeling for you and how it is for you to talk with me.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider, meaning that I do not accept payment directly from insurance companies. However, most insurance plans offer coverage for out-of-network mental health services.
Depending on your out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for 50-80% of your session cost. Prior to beginning treatment, I suggest calling your insurance company and asking the following:

I will provide you with documentation monthly that you can submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.
